Last day in Santa Barbara

After the zoo we went over to the pier. We walked the beach a bit and out to the pier. We had lunch at one of the restaurants there. After we walked down by the beach again and of course back to the hotel to swim the night away. The next day we got up at a normal time then headed to get donuts before heading home.

Day 2

After their wonderful first night ever sleep over ( which took them about 30 mins till they fell asleep and only 2 times coming into my room to tell me someone wouldn't be quiet so they could sleep ) I woke up around 7 at to enjoy my coffee outside in the warm...errrr...misty morning. Of course the 2 little woke about 20 mins later asking when they were going to the beach. We ate breakfast and around 8 went for a walk down by the water. Around 9 I gave in and we went 10 houses down to the beach where we basically stayed the entire time. As you can see the weather wasn't the best but they could care less!

Surf City 10K

Back in October Bridget and I ( and her husband Matt and my friend Armando ) ran the surf city 10k in Huntington beach. David was In Europe so my mom came and watched the kids. The weather was perfect. The day before I went down with the kids to get my bib. They were happy to get some Chocolate milk and play in the sand. We stopped for churros on the way home.

Balboa Beach

Last week My mom and I took the kids to Balboa island for a beach day. We got there at 9am which was perfect cause in the next 20 mins people were filling in. We stayed till 3pm with a quick trip to get Balboa Bars! My sister and Hannah came for a few hours too! The beach was perfect for them and they are begging to go back.
