Rose Parade Floats

So like I said before my Intentions were going to see the floats but we made a few side trips to a few parks on the way. After our trip to my favorite park we went to the Rose bowl. Grabbed a football program for my mom and an Iowa shirt for David and we headed in to see the floats. The kids liked looking at them and asked a lot of questions. On our way to the 2nd tent with floats was a Jet the kids got to ride in and get a key chain. After that tent we went outside to do some activities which included throwing a football and petting a Coyote ( It was obviously dead ).  They had some food trucks there that were from 2 of the places I went to all the time growing up so the kids and I split a grilled cheese and some fries. Of course there just so happened to be yet another play ground there so they got to play a bit longer before the 2 hour drive home ( Traffic ).

Growing up in San Gabriel

When I was little my dad used to take me to this park In San Gabriel, about 15 mins from our house. Ever since having kids I have wanted to take them there. It's definitely a park that they dont make anymore yet is way more fun then the "cool" parks they have now. So Over xmas break I decided to take the kids to Pasadena ( those pics coming soon )to see the floats. Well this park was some what on the way there so I thought this would be the perfect time. The Kids LOVED it! We spent about an hour there running around. I was surprised on how much it has grown and still looked the same. It's been at least 20 years since Ive been there. Baylen still talks about wanting to go back there. Hopefully soon!

Rain day 2

This time It was a little more rain then we normally get. The kids thought it was scary and funny when our backyard was turned into a lake.

Emmy's 1st Birthday

Yesterday we went to Irvine Park to celebrate Emmy's 1st birthday. There was Bubbles, a bounce house, Cookie decorating, and Painting stencils on the kid's.

The Grove

I tried posting these yesterday but the wouldn't send to my computer until this morning. Must have been a new years day glitch? Oh well. So as always New Years Day the kids and I went out to LA to The Grove. We met up with my sister and her family for lunch and a little shopping. Of course we went into the American Girl store and some little girl who has been begging for years for one finally got one. She was very excited and screamed in the store and she said she was crying happy tears. Mr B wasn't to excited about going into a girl store but he kept pretty busy with some interactive stuff they had around.
